E learning for the improving endoscopic detection of early gastric cancer started

A pilot project for eradicating gastric cancer in Bhutan was started. More than 1000 people came to the Helicobacter pylori test in Dawakha subdistrict.

We received a grant from The lion standing against the wind fund foundation.

We will start ' A pilot project for eradicating gastric cancer in kingdom of Bhutan' by JICA. The ceremony was performed at 15th August. Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck National Referral Hospital, Ministry of Health, will cooperate and work together in order to get a final goal.

We obtained a grant from TERMO foundation for life sciences and arts.

We performed the 1st TTT(train the trainer) course for endoscopy in Bhutan. Eight Bhutanese doctors participated. Professor Yao introduced the basic endoscopic technique, and lectured how to find the early gastric cancer by endoscopy.
